Seven Kurdish Civilians Arrested in Kurdistan.


Following further arrests of Kurdish civilians and activists during the past few days, seven other Kurdish civilians have been arrested in Orumiyeh, Shahin Dezh, Takab, Mahabad and Sanandaj.
Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has obtained information that Sanandaj security forces have arrested Ramadan Soltaniyan at his home on July 6, 2019 and transferred him to the Ministry of Intelligence Detention Centre in Sanandaj.
Ramazan Soltaniyan’s sons are members of a Kurdish opposition party and Sanandaj Intelligence Office has been putting pressure on him over the past few years to disclose the whereabouts of his sons.
Moreover, the security forces of Orumiyeh have arrested Jalal Sourman from the “Targevar” area on July 13, 2019. This civilian is now under arrest at the Ministry of Intelligence Detention Centre in Orumiyeh.
According to another report, security forces in Mahabad have arrested two brothers, Awat Behroozi and Keyvan Behroozi, in the village of Haji Hasan and transferred to an unknown location on July 14, 2019. Keyvan Behroozi, a distributor of agricultural products, has also been engaged in agricultural work in the village.
On July 15, 2019, security forces arrested two other Kurdish civilians “Rahim Ahmadpour” and “Amir Tapura” both from the village of “Qazanli” of Shahindezh and another civilian “Bahman Khosravi” from Takab. There is no news on the fate of these three civilians.
