German ISIS woman sentenced to 10 years in prison for complicity in killing Yazidi girl

A German woman, a member of the ISIS criminal group, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for complicity in the murder of a 5-year-old Yazidi girl. This sentence is one of the first cases of a court ruling in the world courts related to the genocide of Yazidis by ISIL.

The historic verdict was handed down yesterday by Judge Reinhold Bayer of the Munich High Court against 30-year-old Jennifer Wenich, who is accused of allowing a five-year-old Yazidi child who was a "slave" of ISIL to die of thirst under the sun.

According to the German prosecutor's office, Vanish and his wife bought a Yazidi woman and girl as slaves while living in Mosul during the occupation by ISIS and kept them in their homes in Mosul.

The prosecutor charged Venice with "two crimes against humanity in the form of slavery" and complicity in killing the girl (for not helping her), and the judge found her guilty in both cases. This five-year-old Yazidi girl was recorded under the sun to die
