Protesters hold demonstration in London against Iranian President, executions in Iran.
"I'm here with the rest of my Anglo Iranian British, Iranian community. We are here in front of number 10 Downing Street to mark World day against the death penalty. Because as people might know, Iran is number one per capita in executions committed annually in the world. And actually, it's only second off the China globally. And the biggest crime that this regime has ever committed occurred in 1988 when 30,000 political prisoners were executed during the summer in just a matter of a few weeks
. And now one of the main perpetrators of that crime against humanity of that massacre is the president of Iran. His name is Ebrahim Raisi. He was one of the people who was directly involved in sending people to that execution. And now we are very disappointed and angry actually, to hear that. He has been invited to a climate change and environment conference happening in Glasgow in early November this year, and actually, witnesses of the 1988 massacre and families of the victims of the 1988 massacre have filed an official complaints to Scottish police. Saying that if Ebrahim Raisi steps foot in this country, he needs to be arrested for crimes, he has committed crimes against humanity. But if he is he needs to be arrested and prosecuted and brought to justice for all of those people that he sent to their deaths just for they were killed just for wanting freedom and democracy."
