In a message on the occasion of Farvardin 12, the anniversary of the Islamic Republic’s referendum, former Iranian President Hassan Rouhani emphasized the need to be prepared for negotiations and achieving peace, along with making fundamental reforms in the country’s policies.

 In a message on the occasion of Farvardin 12, the anniversary of the Islamic Republic’s referendum, former Iranian President Hassan Rouhani emphasized the need to be prepared for negotiations and achieving peace, along with making fundamental reforms in the country’s policies.

In the message, published on his official website, Hassan Rouhani said that in the current circumstances, in addition to maintaining the necessary preparations, the ground must be prepared to end the conflicts in the interests of the country and the people. He emphasized that readiness for negotiations, and even, as he put it, “an honorable peace,” is a necessity to secure Iran’s national interests and the interests of future generations.

Rouhani also emphasized the role of the Supreme National Security Council in examining various scenarios for the continuation or end of the war, and called for the council to urgently put issues related to diplomatic paths and major decision-making on its agenda.

Another important part of Rouhani’s message is dedicated to the need for urgent reforms in the country’s policy-making and governance structure. He said that preserving the country and the system requires fundamental reforms and responding to the people's demands, and that the process of transformation in the management structure must be pursued with greater speed and transparency.

حسن روحانی، رئیس‌جمهوری پیشین ایران، در پیامی به مناسبت دوازدهم فروردین، سالروز رفراندوم جمهوری اسلامی، بر ضرورت آمادگی برای مذاکره و دستیابی به صلح در کنار انجام اصلاحات اساسی در سیاستگذاری‌های کشور تأکید کرد.

حسن روحانی در این پیام که در وب‌سایت رسمی‌ او منتشر شده، گفته است در شرایط کنونی، در کنار حفظ آمادگی‌های لازم، باید زمینه برای پایان دادن به درگیری‌ها به نفع مصالح کشور و مردم فراهم شود. او تاکید کرده است که آمادگی برای مذاکره و حتی به گفته او «صلح عزتمندانه» برای تأمین منافع ملی و مصالح نسل‌های آینده ایران یک ضرورت است.

روحانی همچنین بر نقش شورای عالی امنیت ملی در بررسی سناریوهای مختلف ادامه یا پایان جنگ تأکید کرده و خواستار آن شده است که این شورا موضوعات مربوط به مسیرهای دیپلماتیک و تصمیم‌گیری‌های کلان را با فوریت در دستور کار قرار دهد.

بخش مهم دیگری از پیام روحانی به ضرورت اصلاحات فوری در ساختار سیاستگذاری و حکمرانی کشور اختصاص دارد. او گفته است حفظ کشور و نظام، مستلزم انجام اصلاحات اساسی و پاسخ به مطالبات مردم است و روند تحول در ساختار مدیریتی باید با سرعت و شفافیت بیشتری دنبال شود.
