Pouya Ghabadi Bistooni, a Kurdish power electrical engineer, a calligraphy artist, and a santur player, and a graduate of the University of Kurdistan, was executed by the Khamenei regime on 31 March 2026.
He was 34 years old, from the Kolya’i tribe in Kermanshah Province and the city of Sonqor. He was a power electrical engineer, a graduate of the University of Kurdistan, a skilled calligrapher, and a santur player. He had also previously spent five years in prison.
On Tuesday, 31 March 2026, the execution of Pouya Ghabadi Bistooni and Babak Alipour, a Gilak citizen, was secretly carried out in Ghezel Hesar Prison without prior notice to their families and lawyers and without a final meeting.
Mizan News Agency, the official website of the Iran regime's judiciary, announced in publishing this news that their execution sentences were carried out after being confirmed by the Supreme Court.
These two prisoners had previously been sentenced to death by Branch 26 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Iman Afshari, on the charge of “baghi” (armed rebellion) through the accusation of membership in the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MEK/PMOI)NEWS: Video & Leaked info
Before the execution of Pouya Ghobadi, an Iranian Kurdish engineer, the Iranian regime pressured him to make a false statement claiming that Israel had supplied them weapons to attack Iran. He refused, saying, “ I am not going to do this interview,”
