Fariba Baloch had the last word first at the Iran Freedom Congress in London:
“No one should decide about us at the center and without our presence.” This is the manifesto for the freedom of the Iranian people.Joint conference of pro-libertarian and pro-democratic forces in London as a congress of democratic federalist organizations

The Iran Freedom Congress, which will be held in London on March 27 and 28, 2026, is a major step towards creating dialogue and convergence among all pro-democracy forces. The strong and influential presence of the main currents of Kurdistan, including the Kurdistan Komele Party of Iran and the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran, at this congress demonstrates a serious will to build a future in which opposition parties, organizations, and figures reach an understanding on a “pluralistic Iran.”
With 8 specialized panels, this congress will examine vital issues such as “Gender and Democracy,” “Economic Development and Social Justice,” and “The Role of Social Movements” to draw a roadmap for a discrimination-free Iran. The main goal of this event, beyond a meeting, is to strive for synergy between all identities and intellectual currents to achieve a sustainable democracy.
The truth is clear: true democracy means ending decades of ignoring the will of nations and recognizing their right to sovereignty over their destiny.
The era of forced decision-making from the center for education in the mother tongue and management of national resources is over. The future of Iran is plural and equal.
The widespread presence of parties, political organizations, and civil activists of nationalities at the London Congress is a clear message to end the era of centralism. True democracy can only go through the path of "decentralization" and the recognition of "national pluralism." Any plan for the future of Iran that ignores the right of nations to determine their own destiny and sovereignty over their own destinies (from the right to education in the mother tongue to the management of national resources) is a reproduction of the same tyranny of the past. This meeting showed that the era of guardian-like decision-making in the center is over and the equal will of all nationalities is the only main pillar for building a sustainable democracy. ✌️Peace be upon this lady. I wish the Kurdish representatives, if they were present or are here, would have had such courage and a clear statement and message, and would have put aside these petty considerations and, as they say, "One death, one cry." 👏👏👏
