The Kurdistan National Congress issued a statement referring to the efforts of the Turkish state to occupy Başûr Kurdistan. He said that Erdogan's goals after the occupation of Afrin are to go to Qandil and expand the scope of his occupation.

On the efforts of the Turkish state to occupy Başûr Kurdistan, the Kurdistan National Congress said in its statement "The Turkish state is carrying out a large-scale occupation campaign heading east towards Bradost and southward towards Bahdinan areas, and this is an occupation campaign. Based on this, they are in the first stage, they will encircle the defense Media areas and occupy them as they occupied Afrin, and if they succeed in this endeavor, they will turn to control of the Kurdish Başûr ... The efforts of the Turkish state are no longer mere intentions but has become a practical exercise on the ground . "

The (KNC) said in its statement that the only way to deal with the occupation efforts of the Turkish state is to achieve unity of ranks and escalation of resistance, and called on everyone to perceive the stage from a national point of view.

The statement added "We call on all the people of Kurdistan to consider this situation in terms of patriotism and nationalistic interest and to reach results in favor of the Kurds and Kurdistan. There is something clear which in the interest of the Kurdish people lying in the unity and agreement and to respond to the attack of the occupying Turkish state with this national position.”

The Kurdistan National Congress denounced the Turkish attack and called on international organizations including the United Nations, NATO, the European Union, the Arab League and the democratic world to confront the Turkish state's efforts to occupy Kurdistan, break its silence and support the struggle of the Kurdish people for freedom.
