SA President Donald Trump directed sharp criticism of the Iranian regime when he met the press together with France's President Macron on Tuesday in Washington.



Many questions from the joint press conference were about the nuclear agreement with Tehran. This since President Trump said he will not extend the sanctions for Iran if the parties fail to comply with the agreement's shortcomings before the next deadline of 12 May.

France's President Macron will try to persuade President Trump to maintain the nuclear agreement during his three-day visit to Washington, but also discuss the regime's involvement in Syria and its ballistic robotic programs. German Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel is expected to visit Washington later this week for a similar conversation.

President Trump repeated his previous criticism of the agreement and said, "We will talk about what we can see. People know what I think. It was a terrible agreement. It would never have been concluded, "Aftonbladet reported.

He criticized the Iranian regime strongly and said the regime is behind the Middle East problems regarding Tehran's destabilizing activities in the region.

"No matter where you turn, especially in the Middle East, Iran is behind the problems. Everywhere there is a problem, in Yemen, Syria, Iran is behind. Unfortunately, Russia is now becoming more and more involved, "he said to journalists according to Aftonbladet.

Both Iranian regime Foreign Minister Javad Zarif and President Hassan Rouhani have threatened the United States with serious consequences during the week if President Trump leaves the nuclear agreement.

The Iranian regime also threatened to leave the Non-Proliferation Agreement and resume its enrichment program if the United States ransacked the agreement.

But President Trump wiped away the threat on Tuesday and said the regime would not do anything like that.
