The Syrian militiamen who are backed by Ankara have arrested a Kurdish female photographer in Afrin, local activists said.

Dilshad Qarajol was arrested on Friday and her whereabouts and fate remains unknown up to the moment, Kurdistan 24 quoted the source.

She was reportedly detained by a militia group called Sultan Murat forces.

Qarajol is a Kurdish photographer whose works were displayed in international exhibitions.

Syrian Kurdish activist, Dara Sitri, called on the international organisations to mediate and help the release of Qarajol immediately.
