While the regime-critical protests for radical change and regime change are ongoing and growing every day in Iran, Sweden continues to sting knife in the back of the Iranian people.
The Swedish concession policy towards Iran has today become so repugnant that the Foreign Ministry does not dare to tell in advance about meetings with the Iranian regime's representatives.
Is it not remarkable that Cabinet Secretary Annika Söder and Foreign Minister Margot Wallström meet with Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi a few weeks after President Hassan Rouhani described Israel as "a cancer tumor"?
One should ask why the Ministry of Foreign Affairs did not condemn Rouhani's statement immediately afterwards.
What has been discussed during the last meeting? The terrible state of human rights in Iran? The already failed Yemen Conference and Iran's role in the Yemeni conflict? Or support for the Iranian people's uprising against the clergy? Or the Swedish attempts to revive the dying economic affairs with Iran as Iranian media states? Or the regime's ongoing terrorist activities and espionage activities in Europe and Sweden?
What is raised is less important. The most important thing is that Sweden should end with its shameful policy towards the Iranian regime and not lend itself to the world's largest state sponsor of terrorism.
What Swedish-Iranians demand is support for the Iranian people who get their lives crushed under the suffocating oppression that prevails in the country. We demand that Sweden abandon its abominable Iran policy and support the Iranian people's will and struggle for better living conditions and basic human rights and freedoms.
