New details of a telephone conversation between US President Donald Trump and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan emerged on December 14, when Trump decided to withdraw US troops in Syria.



According to sources familiar with the transcript of the call to the network "CNN" America that Trump told Erdogan, after assurances and pledges by the Turkish President to eliminate the remnants of the so-called Islamic State in Syria: "It (Syria) belongs to you We have accomplished our mission there" .

تكشفت تفاصيل جديدة من المكالمة الهاتفية بين الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترامب ونظيره التركي رجب طيب أردوغان يوم 14 ديسمبر/كانون الأول، والتي قرر بعدها ترامب سحب القوات الأمريكية في سوريا وعددها ألفا جندي.

وتقول مصادر اطلعت على نسخة مكتوبة من المكالمة لشبكة "سي إن إن" الأمريكية إن ترامب قال لأردوغان، بعد تأكيدات وتعهدات من الرئيس التركي بالقضاء على فلول تنظيم ما يسمى بالدولة الإسلامية في سوريا: "إنها (سوريا) مِلك لك. لقد أنجزنا مهمتنا هناك".

ما وراء الخبر

قررت تركيا شن هجوم جديد في المنطقة الواقعة شرق الفرات في سوريا ضد فصائل كردية مسلحة، أبرزها وحدات حماية الشعب الكردية، وقوات سوريا الديمقراطية ذات الغالبية الكردية.

تعتبر واشنطن تلك الوحدات الكردية المسلحة حليفا رئيسيا في حربها ضد تنظيم الدولة

تصنف تركيا وحدات حماية الشعب الكردية كمظمة إرهابية وامتدادا لحزب العمال الكردستاني المحظور في تركيا والمصنف إرهابيا من قبل أنقرة وواشنطن.

أعلن متحدث عسكري أمريكي أمس أن الأمر التنفيذى بانسحاب الجنود الامريكيين من سوريا تم توقيعه، وأن الانسحاب الأمريكي سيكون بطيئا ومنسقا للغاية.
