The Iranian regime sent a total of $ 651 million in donations to Hamas and Islamic Jihad families who have been killed during military conflicts, reports the French radio's Persian language program.
The money was paid out on Thursday in connection with the celebration of the International Jerusalem Day.

The regime handed over the money to high-ranking representatives of Hamas and Islamic Jihad during a conference in Gaza on May 30.

The International Day of Odds is an annual event that coincides with the last Friday of the fasting month, Ramadan. The day was created by the Iranian regime after the 1979 Revolution to express support for the Palestinians and oppose "Zionism" and the State of Israel.

The families who receive the donations are Palestinians whose wages have fallen as a result of the Palestinian Authority's economic problems.

1540 Palestinian families in the Gaza Strip are expected to benefit from the regime's donations.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran supports the Palestinian people's resistance and the defense is our religious duty despite all the political and economic pressures," said Ali Shamkhani, secretary of the regime's Highest National Security Council via video to the Gaza Conference.

Palestinian authorities and President Mahmoud Abbas have decided to withdraw all financial support to families of the members of Hamas and Islamic Jihad killed in the war against Israel.
