Iranian Judo Association is suspended from international competitions
International Judo Association shuts down Iranian Judo League from international competitions. This since the regime tried to force an Iranian judoka to lose with diligence during the Tokyo World Cup last month.
Reigning world champion Saeid Mollaei, 27, was one of the favorites of this year's World Cup in Judo. He reached the semi-finals where he lost to Belgian Matthias Casse.
Mollaei later revealed that the regime had threatened his family in Iran ahead of the eighth finals and demanded that he withdraw from the championship.
The reason being that Mollaei risked meeting Israel's second favorite, Sagi Muki, in a possible final.
Mollaei and his family have now applied for asylum in Germany.
