Confirmation of the sentence of 20 months imprisonment of a labor activist in the Clerical Court of Appeal in Iran.
The Tehran Court of Appeals upheld the conviction of Asal Mohammadi, a labor activist.
According to Hrana, Asal Mohammadi was sentenced by Branch 26 of the Revolutionary Court of Tehran to one year and eight months in prison and two years of deprivation of membership in political and social groups.
The court sentenced the labor activist on charges of "propaganda against the regime" and "conspiracy against national security."
Pursuant to Article 134 of the Islamic Penal Code, Ms. Mohammadi is subject to a maximum sentence of one year in prison.
