The letter emphasizes that any approach to removing the IRGC from the list of terrorist organizations is "a clear disregard for the ideals and legitimate struggles of Iranians for freedom and human dignity."

The signatories of this letter called on the Biden government to stand by the Iranian people and their struggle for peace, freedom and a non-nuclear republic.

In this regard, concern has also been expressed about the possibility of US concessions to the repressive regime in Iran, whose destabilizing measures are fueling tensions and insecurity in the region and the world.

It has also been argued that the US government should not concede to a regime whose terrorist activities and its financially and militarily-backed militant groups have created instability and insecurity in the region and the world.
