- Unprecedented confession of Ali Motahari, former deputy speaker of the regime's parliament: "From the very beginning, when we entered the nuclear activity, our goal was to make a bomb ..., but we could not keep it secret and the secret reports were revealed by the Mojahedin."

Ali Motahari, a former member of parliament, in an interview with the Iranian Student Journalists Club (ISKA), mentioned the construction of an atomic bomb as the goal of the Islamic Republic's nuclear program.

Motahhari stated: "From the very beginning, when we entered the nuclear activity, our goal was to build a bomb and strengthen the deterrent forces!"

He added: "But we could not maintain the secrecy of this issue and confidential reports were revealed by the Mojahedin Khalq.
