According to Hengao, Saada Khedirzadeh, a prisoner in Urmia Central Prison, who is in her eighth month of pregnancy, has been on a hunger strike since Tuesday, May 26, in protest of her seven months of indecision.

Ms. Khedirzadeh says in an audio file: I was held hostage in prison. I was threatened with forced confession and security officials made immoral offers to me.

Saada Khedirzadeh, 32, a resident of Piranshahr, was arrested by the Piranshahr Intelligence Terrorist Directorate on Thursday, October 13, and was transferred to the women's ward of Urmia Central Prison after 25 days of interrogation.

Since then, she has been held indefinitely in the women's ward of Urmia Central Prison without access to gynecological medical services during her pregnancy.
