Interim Government checkpoints continue to tighten the noose on citizens at the Deir Hafer crossing.
The terrorist regime of ISIS and al-Qaeda in Syria arrested Kurdish youth in Aleppo.
Armed groups affiliated with the interim government at checkpoints along the Aleppo-Deir Hafer road arbitrarily arrested three young civilians under the pretext of possessing images of Kurdish symbols. This move is clearly aimed at tightening the noose on citizens and exerting security pressure on them.
It is worth noting that the detainees are young men with no military or security affiliation. Their arrest on this basis reflects a mentality of repression and targeting based on ethnic and political grounds, and reveals the continued violations and abuses against civilians on this road.
Names of detainees:
– Bashir Muhammad Hussein
– Haider Aboud Eiso
– Samer Sallan Abdulqader
Turning checkpoints into tools for suppressing citizens instead of protecting them places the transitional government under direct and undeniable responsibility.
