With support from the International Coalition, our forces dismantle an ISIS terrorist cell in eastern Deir ez-Zor countryside.

Last Sunday, the Transitional Military Operations Teams (TOLs) of the Syrian Democratic Forces, with support from the International Coalition, conducted a precise security operation in the town of Dhiban in eastern Deir ez-Zor countryside, resulting in the dismantling of a dangerous ISIS terrorist cell.

After completing the collection of intelligence on the cell's movements and activities, our forces imposed a tight cordon around its location and called for its surrender. However, the cell members opened fire, leading to clashes that resulted in the death of three terrorists and the arrest of five others:

• Mazen Al-Sarih (nicknamed "Abu Wafi")

• Fadi Al-Sarih (nicknamed "Abu Ma'moun")

• Madin Al-Salem

• Alawi Abdul Rahman (nicknamed "Ali")

• Amjad Al-Sarih (nicknamed "Abu Ali")

Investigations revealed that the cell was active in transporting and manufacturing explosives and improvised explosive devices (IEDs), preparing car bombs, and planning attacks targeting military checkpoints, civilians, and service institutions.

Our forces affirm the continuation of their security operations to pursue the organization's cells and dismantle its infrastructure, thereby ensuring enhanced security and stability and the eradication of terrorism from the region.
