HANAN MUHAMMAD- BASIL RASHID / ALEPPO
Issa Mustafa, member of the General Council of the Democratic Union Party in Aleppo has evaluated during an interview with ANHA agency, the latest political developments in the Syrian arena in general and Idlib in particular.
At the beginning of his speech, Mustafa addressed the Russian-Turkish agreement that took place in Sochi on Idlib, he said "The result will be a failure because all groups affiliated to Turkey cannot be relied upon to solve the Syrian crisis and establish a democratic state. The continuation of the alliance between Turkey and Russia will be doomed to failure like previous ones from the Geneva, Riyadh and Astana meetings because the solutions of the Syrian crisis must be internal and external.
He added that the bilateral agreements between Turkey and Russia indicate their intention to withdraw some mercenaries from Idlib and distribute them to the areas occupied by Turkey, such as Afrin, Azaz and Jarablus to be liquidated later under new deals, but coincided with the refusal of mercenaries of the Turkish occupation out of what is called the demilitarized zone, which constitutes an obstacle to the agreement between the parties.
Turkish occupation seeks to thwart the democratic project
Musatafa also spoke about the Autonomous Administration project in north and east Syria and the Turkish hostility to it "Our project is clear to everyone, a democratic, pluralistic, decentralized project that serves the interests of all peoples and communities in Syria. Today we see the solution in the intra-Syrian dialogue and work on a new democratic constitution and citizenship, democracy is crowned by Syria's future decentralization, and we are determined to complete our democratic project, so Turkey continues in its hostility to this project and seeks to hit and target the Kurdish people who lead it.
The occupation of Afrin continues without any statement from abroad
Issa Mustafa criticized at the end of his speech the international silence of the human nature of what is happening in Afrin of violations and crimes by the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries. He said "When we talk about Idlib, we should talk about Afrin, Azaz, Jarablus, and al-Bab, because we cannot find a solution to the Syrian situation with the presence of the Turkish occupation inside its territory, and the international powers must come out of their silence and end the Turkish occupation if they are serious about finding a solution to Syria.
