Collective call of Kurdistan civil activists for a general strike!

Honorable people of Kurdistan!

Freedom-loving compatriots of Iran!

Human rights institutions and heads of government of the world!

Once again, the Iranian government has detained more than 100 Kurdish citizens in the wake of systematic human rights abuses and repression of citizens. The wave of arrests of writers and artists in different parts of Kurdistan and the manner of arrests indicate the regime's goal of spreading the shadow of intimidation and repression of the people, and in this way the silence of the international community and human rights, especially the heads of world governments, can be detrimental. Arrested result.

On the eve of entering the forty-second year of the victory of the Iranian revolution by Khomeini and his allies, the people of Kurdistan, remembering what has happened to this oppressed nation in Iran during these years, call for the unity of the people and the opposition and the support of world governments in ending The people of Kurdistan are suffering. What has become a painful routine for us, the people of Kurdistan, during the current regime in Iran, is the continuous, baseless, baseless arrests based on hatred and enmity that this regime has with the rights of the people and the desire for freedom. The repetition of this painful and deplorable process for the people of Kurdistan is a continuation of the system of repression to erode the spirit of freedom and collective resistance and is done with the aim of unifying the Kurdish society in accepting fascist policies and cultural assimilation and maintaining power through force, violence and intimidation. . However, it will not diminish the determination of the people of Kurdistan to continue the struggle and achieve liberation from the oppressive yoke of the Islamic system of Iran.

At a time when the people of Kurdistan are in double cultural, educational, political and economic oppression and discrimination, threats, intimidation and the use of security tools for further repression and suffocation not only do not silence the regime, but also the will of the people of Kurdistan. Continuing the struggle until freedom and liberation from the oppressive yoke of the current system will become more resolute.

The arrest and intimidation of writers, poets and artists, civil and environmental activists and entrepreneurs, which is a clear example of kidnapping and hostage-taking and the forced disappearance of citizens, reflect the regime's fear of the people, especially the young and aware generation of Kurdistan, and show violence. The government is authoritarian in the face of global and regional developments.

Use of violence during summonses and interrogations, detentions based on false and untrue accusations, uncertainty of the detention institution and place of detention, summons without prior notice, unjustified detention without a court order, deprivation of detainees of the right to choose a lawyer Lack of communication with the family, lack of access to free media, etc. are examples of gross violations of civil rights and human rights standards.

In the absence of freedom of expression and freedom of assembly and the absence of independent and popular media, mass repression and the weakening of independent and civil institutions and NGOs, biased security measures in Kurdistan can further endanger the physical and mental health of detained compatriots. .

Accordingly, we, a group of civil and cultural activists in Kurdistan, strongly condemn the recent wave of blind and mass arrests and call on all the people of Kurdistan and Iran to react and take an appropriate position in condemning it. We also call on all human rights institutions and governments around the world to monitor the physical and mental condition of detainees and to put the necessary pressure on the Iranian government to comply with human rights and citizens' rights.

Finally, we call on the liberated people of Kurdistan to carry out civil actions, protests and strikes on Wednesday, February 12, to save the lives of the detainees as a date for a nationwide strike and protests against the recent repressive measures. "Strikes and absences from work and the market, non-participation in government calls and programs, and condemning the detention of citizens on virtual networks in the current situation can be a positive and effective measure to help our compatriots in our chains."
