A young woman, identified as Maryam Razmjo, was murdered by her ex-husband. The accused killed his mother and brother at the same time as his ex-wife.

According to the report received by the human rights organization Hengav, on the evening of Thursday, March 24, 1402 (March 14, 2024), Maryam Razmjo, a first-year radio-oncology resident at Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences, was killed by her ex-husband.

After being at the house of his ex-wife's father's family, the accused killed his ex-wife and his mother and brother with a firearm.

After committing the crime, he left the place of the murder and was arrested after a few hours.

So far, exact details about the attacker's motive are not available, and government media have only mentioned "previous differences" in this case.
