Finalization of dismissals and disciplinary sentences for teachers in Kurdistan; The Islamic Republic’s organized assault on education and teachers
In the latest wave of repression against teachers, the Islamic Republic’s judiciary and the Education and Training Administrative Violations Unit have officially and definitively issued dismissal orders to eight Kurdish teachers; an action that once again reveals the anti-freedom and anti-educational nature of this regime.
These teachers, from Sanandaj, Divandareh, and Marivan, often had master’s degrees and more than 20 years of teaching experience in secondary schools; individuals who, instead of being recognized, have been eliminated, dismissed, and have been prosecuted.
The names of the eight dismissed teachers:
1. Majid Karimi – Sanandaj – Senior in Political Science – 23 years of experience
2. Ghiyas Nemati – Sanandaj – Senior in Clinical Psychology – 18 years of experience
3. Jahangir Bahmani – Sanandaj – Senior in Physics – 23 years of experience
4. Omid Shahmohammadi – Divandarreh – Master of Biology – 26 years of experience
5. Parviz Ahsani – Divandarreh – Master of Geology – 21 years of experience
6. Kaveh Mohammadzadeh – Divandarreh – Master of Sociology – 22 years of experience
7. Hiva Quraishi – Divandarreh – Master of Literature – 26 years of experience
8. Somayeh Akhtarshamar – Marivan – Bachelor of English – 18 years of experience
Majid Karimi has announced that in addition to being fired, the two teachers have been sentenced to permanent dismissal from all government jobs; a ruling that demonstrates the purely political nature of these attacks.

10. Loghmanollah Moradi – Saqqez – Master of Political Science – 26 years of experience
11. Salah Hajimirzaei – Sanandaj – Master of History – 27 years of experience
Compulsory retirement with downgrading in group:

17. Taban Haddadian – Sanandaj – Senior Linguistics – 1 year of disqualification + 3 months of salary deduction
These sentences are part of an organized plan to silence the voices of demanding teachers in Kurdistan.
A government that fears independent education is forced to fire, exile, and threaten experienced teachers; but this widespread pressure only makes one reality clearer:
A regime that fears even the voice of a teacher has no legitimacy to continue in power.
