Tensions between the #United_States and #Venezuela have reached a fever pitch. Trump has declared a nationwide blockade of Caracas and has hinted at a “ground invasion.”

Trump tweeted:The Venezuelan opposition leader is a traitor and Maduro is a stupid dictator.Because no opposition wants a military attack on its country, but the head of the Venezuelan opposition is also considered a traitor, and someone is willing to have her country occupied for the sake of her seat.

“Venezuela is completely surrounded by the largest naval fleet ever assembled in the history of South America. It will only get bigger, and the shock they will receive will be like nothing they have ever seen in their lives.”

Tucker Carlson, quoting a congressman, said Trump could declare war on Venezuela in his State of the Union address tonight.

Analysts and officials say no definitive order has been issued for an attack, and some have dismissed reports of an imminent attack.

In Washington, military scenarios are being considered and forces are on standby, but the final decision remains in limbo.

Maduro has reacted sharply and is preparing to defend his country.

The global oil market has also been affected by these tensions
