The leader of Gorran (Change) movement in South Kurdistan, Nawshirwan Mustefa, a true Kurdish patriot and a voice for the silenced, was laid to rest in Silemani today. He dedicated his whole life for the freedom of the Kurdish people, as a brave peshmerga fighter, then a passionate writer and later as a leader. He will be greatly missed by the Kurdish people, but his path for freedom and democracy will be followed.

May his brave soul rest in peace.
