Left Party: Interpol is abused, Moslem should be released
German Left Party stated that Secretary General of Interpol is former Vice-President of Germany's Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA), Jürgen Stock, and called on the Merkel government to act in order for the release of Saleh Moslem.

Reactions are growing against the arrest of TEV-DEM foreign relations official and former PYD leader Saleh Moslem in Prague, capital city of Czech Republic, at Turkey’s request. German opposition Left Party also called for the immediate release of Moslem.
In a statement on behalf of the Left Party, Group Deputy Chair Heike Hänsel recalled that critics of the Erdogan regime had been arrested on Interpol’s demand in some European countries before at the request of the Turkish state.
Remarking that Ankara is abusing Interpol as it did before, Hänsel said; “Interpol and European states should take measures to prevent such attempts by Turkey.”
“MERKEL GOVERNMENT SHOULD ACT”
Hänsel said it was a scandal that Europe acted in line with the demands of the Erdogan regime, and called for the Merkel government to act for the release of Moslem. Remarking that Secretary General of Interpol is former Vice-President of Germany's Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA), Jürgen Stock, Hänsel said Germany was indirectly a part of this scandal.
While Left Party politician Hänsel urged Germany to act against the Erdogan regime’s attempts to abuse Interpol, many other politicians from the Left Party also criticized the arrest of Moslem strongly.
Left Party Co-chairperson Katja Kipping condemned Moslem’s arrest on her social media account. Kipping called on Czechia and other European Union states to refuse to submit to Erdogan regime and called for the immediate release of Moslem.
Left Party board member Tobias Pflüger said; “It seems that EU member Czechia is doing the dirty works of Turkey.”
