 The US launched its first airstrikes on Iran in more than a month, saying it targeted IRGC forces preparing to deploy sea mines in the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian officials say a US missile struck a house hosting a wedding in southern Iran’s Hormozgan province, killing several people, including a child, and wounding dozens. CENTCOM described its strikes as limited and precise against minelaying forces and did not directly address the civilian casualty reports. Iran said it retaliated with ballistic missiles at a US Marine base in Jordan; the IRGC claimed US casualties, while US officials said there were none.
