Kurdish Civilian Found Brutally Murdered in Kirkuk
Hashd al-Shaabi is believed to be behind the crime
A Kurdish civilian was found dead in central Kirkuk on Tuesday and the Shi’ite militias of Hashd al-Shaabi, who have invaded the city since October 16, are believed to be behind the crime.
A source from Kirkuk Police told BasNews that the security forces found on Tuesday the body of a Kurdish youth near Baba Gur Gur Park in the city.
The civilian was wearing Kurdish clothes and he was brutally murdered.
The rate of crimes, particularly homicide, has been on the rise since the Iranian-backed Shi’ite militias have taken control of the city.
The police said that they have launched an investigation into the incident.
This is the second murder crime carried out over the last 48 hours in Kirkuk Province.
Hashd al-Shaabi militias murdered on Monday a Kurdish journalist in his house by savagely stabbing him forty times, a crime which was condemned by UNAMI and many other local and international human rights organizations.
