Peshmerga Wards off Iranian-backed Militias’ Attack in Rabia.

ERBIL — The Kurdistan Region Peshmerga Forces on Tuesday warded off an offensive of the Iranian-backed Shi’ite militias of Hashd al-Shaabi near Rabia, northwest of Mosul.

"Peshmerga destroyed two armored vehicles and a Humvee of the militia," Peshmerga Commander Mansour Barzani on the front line told Kurdistan 24.

"Following the defeat, the militia retreated,” said the commander.

The militias attacked the Peshmerga forces in the early hours of Tuesday in Mahmoudiya area near Rabia.
