But the attack did not reach its targets and at least 31 mercenaries were killed.

A military source from Deir ez-Zor village noted that IS mercenaries launched a series of counter-attacks on the positions of SDF since the morning of this Sunday, November 4-2018, benefiting from the attacks of the Turkish occupation army on the north of Syria and the border villages in both Kobanî and Tal Abyad as well as the SDF declaration that would stop the battle to defeat terrorism temporarily, benefiting from the dusty atmosphere.

The military source noted that these counter-attacks by mercenaries used car bombs, four-wheel-drive vehicles loaded with machine guns. Violent clashes broke out in the north-northwest axis of Hajin town which lasted for several hours until dark.

The source confirmed that SDF were able to thwart these attacks and resulted in the destruction of a car bomb before the arrival of its goal in addition to the destruction of another four-wheeled car loaded with a machine gun (Dushka), killing at least 31 mercenaries, while the rest of the attackers fled without any progress.
