A group of women living in Kabul staged a protest today, Friday, September 3, in order to gain access to the rights and political participation of Afghan women in the new government.

According to videos posted on social media, Taliban forces attacked a peaceful gathering of women in Kabul and beat protesting women.

Yesterday, some women held a protest rally in the city of Herat.

Emphasizing the need to preserve the achievements of Afghan women over the past 20 years, Afghan women have called on Taliban officials who are now in power to pay attention to their rights.
