Despite the widespread presence of the Islamic Republic's repressors in Sardasht, a rally was held in the city to condemn non-violence against women.

 At 4 pm on Saturday, October 23rd, a number of civil society activists in Sardasht gathered at Sarcheshmeh Square to welcome yesterday's call for a rally in support of women rights activists and to protest the free operation of criminal gangs, according to Hangaw.

The rally came in the early hours of the morning of Thursday, October 28, when the home of Naskeh Afkhami, a women's rights activist, was attacked by unknown individuals.

Prior to the attack, Ms. Afkhami had exposed the activities of a "rape gang" in Sardasht.
