#Displacement._Occupation._Demographic_engineering._Silence.
Across all four parts of Kurdistan, Kurds have been displaced from their homes in attempts to erase their presence and engineer the demographics of their historic lands.
Since 2018, Turkey has pushed the transfer and illegal settlement of Palestinians into Rojava. These settlements have been widely condemned as part of a broader policy of demographic change and forced displacement.
These illegal settlers and the attempt of permanent demographic engineering imposed by the Turkish government must not be normalized or silenced. At the same time, Kurds returning to their homes have faced violence, intimidation, and displacement.
The right to return must apply to everyone.
Kurds have the right to return to their homes, just as Palestinians have the right to return to theirs.
To all human rights advocates and activists: break the silence.
Stand against occupation.
Stand against forced displacement.
Stand against demographic engineering.
Stand for the right of all displaced people to return home.
Human rights must be universal. No double standards. Rojava is the Kurdish people’s land, home and they have the right to their buildings and homes.
