On Friday (April 12, 2013)a new episode of Arab Idol show presented on MBC, Parwaz participated as the first ever Kurd and sang in Kurdish.
Parwaz sang “Ka dalen amro dasht w kew shena” song of the great Kurdish singer (Mazhari Xaliqi) and the judges were amazed by her performance from the beginning.
The Kuwaiti singer (Ahlam) told Parwaz “your feelings are killing me, they should be studied at the schools”
The great Lebanese singer and the head of show’s committee (Raghib Alama) said “we were pleased from the beginning, you are talented and we were even happier that you have come from Iraqi Kurdistan, the country which we were unaware of its art. Your participation in Arab Idol affects the linkage of Kurdistan’s art with the Arab world.
(Nancy Ajram) the Lebanese singer hoped that (Parwaz) teaches her a Kurdish song and sings a duet with her.
(Hassan Alshafeie) is one of the judging committee and it is a bit hard to get his approval, he told Parwaz “I always talk about you, you teach me and many others a lot about music”
Since the last episode, the duty of the judging panel was only listening to the participants and give opinions, the audience can vote via SMS, and the one who gets the most number of votes wil stay in the show, Parwaz’s number is 6.
Since Parwaz does not know Arabic, on the first episode she brought someone to interpret for her, on Friday’s episode, she introduced herself in Arabic and talked about herself.
On many of Hawler roads and public places, they have advertised for this Kurdish talent so that people vote of her, meanwhile in the middle and south cities of Iraq, the provincial elections have started.
On the social networks especially (facebook), different classes of people living in Kurdistan praised her and express their happiness and showed their supports for Parwaz.
The Kurdish presenter and TV host (Avin Aso) wrote on her official facebook page about Parwaz and said “young lady, I salute you, I am impressed by your beauty and I am proud of you and your courage and confidence to participate in (Arab Idol) show”
“you came this far and you have astonished the judging committee, we heard many beautiful words about yourself, Kurd and Kurdistan, because of you Kurdistan name mentioned many times you added another introduction of the beautiful image of Kurdistan, and the Kurdistan’s art to the Arab world and the globe”
In statement (Xalil Blaee) art journalist living in Hawler told Warvin “He has noticed in this show, a segment of the Arab artists since they do not Kurds as a nation, it is ok if they are not aware of the Kurdish art, but since the judges of (Arab Idol) show are expertise in voice and music, they can spot those people who are talented.
He also said that they were all impressed with Parwaz’s voice which is good news; the Kurdish girl participated with the name of Kurdistan and sang in Kurdish.
“This tells us that Kurdish songs can go beyond Kurdistan’s boarder, we can look at (Nancy Ajram)’s comment as an example (she wants to sing in Kurdish) even if it’s just a Courtesy” He added.
(Halgir Bahaadin) journalist from Duhok talked about Parwaz and said to Warvin “that Kurdish talent has just begun her journey in art, but she could introduce the Kurdish music to the world, especially the Arab world and shorten the distance between Kurdish and Arabic Art.”
He said that a famous singer like (Nancy Ajram) asked Parwaz to teach her Kurdish Songs, this is the first time that a singer at that level is impressed with Kurdish music.
He also said more importantly, there was a Kurdish flag inside the studio, he praised Parwaz and said let’s all support her to introduce Kurdish music to the world.
