do you believe in the Turks peace between Kurds and Turks in Turkey?
can the Turks consider giving rights to 30 million Kurds in Turkey?
It's very difficult to believe the Turks to make peace between Kurds and Turks in Turkey, because Turkey has not done anything of the date Ocalan announced for peace between turks and kurds and the Kurds in Turkey, the Turks known as nationalists and strong racist thinking, I have heard many times the Turks said we do not want a living Kurd, we want a killing Kurds is better, it is highly racist thinking by the Turks in Turkey against the Kurdish people.
Kışanak: Call for peace and freedom on 4 April
Speaking at the parliamentary group meeting on Tuesday, Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) co-chair Gültan Kışanak said that many circles of the society had concerns over the currently ongoing process for a solution to the Kurdish issue and demanded transparency in all its phases. Kışanak remarked that public support and solidarity would ensure an advancement in this process.
Referring to the the debate on the Commission of Wise People expected to be established and announced in the coming days, Kışanak pointed out that “this process requires justice, public consensus and participation by all social and cultural circles and institutions and organizations for it concerns every single equal and free citizen of the county. The commission should be made up of people who can treat both sides equally and side with a solution, peace and freedoms and, should necessarily involve academics, jurists, intellectuals, NGOs, unions and trade bodies”.
BDP co-chair remarked that the majority of women -which she said was a must for a democratic and free life- was also important for the commission. She underlined that “the parliament should also do what is necessary in the current historic process which requires a positive policy to ensure that it can play its part for the solution and democratization. She also noted that the parliament should ensure a legal ground for the steps to be taken in the negotiation process”.
Referring to the recent meetings BDP has held with various circles in Ankara on the negotiation process, Kışanak said that they had received support for the process from the NGOs, trade bodies, human rights associations, woman activists, feminists and Alewi associations they visited in Ankara. “They all have concerns on the process but these concerns could be removed by their active participation in the process which we see as a period to guarantee public peace and freedoms. We shall not accomplish the result we want if we leave this process to the mercy of some people”, she added.
Reminding of the meeting 18 bar associations in the Kurdish region held yesterday, Kışanak said the bar associations in the region also supported and wanted to take an active part in the process as institutions that have closely witnessed injustice, clashes and traumas so far.
Kışanak remarked that 4 April, the birthday of Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan, had a more significant importance this year for coming after the declaration of the road map to peace and democratic solution. She noted that in this day the Kurdish people wanted to celebrate the beginning of the way to peace, freedom and democratic solution.
Kışanak pointed out that all circles and everybody, including the state and the government, should work for improving the environment of confidence.
Reminding of Paris killings, the execution of Sakine Cansız, a co-founder of Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), Fidan Doğan, representative of Kurdistan National Congress (KNK) in Paris, and Leyla Şaylemez, member of the Kurdish youth movement, in the French capital on 9 January 2013, BDP co-chair said it was unacceptable that the French state has yet shed no light on the mass killing. Should French authorities fail to reveal and disclose the powers behind these killings and to take them to court, we will hold them responsible for these murders which we regard as a sabotage against the peace process, she added.
