Iranian security forces dismantles satellite dishes in Mariwan
Iranian security forces have during the past couple of days dismantled satellite dished in the Kurdish city Mariwan in an effort to prevent residents of the city from watching Kurdish satellite channels.
This has, according to several sources from Mariwan, led to confrontations between the people and security forces.
Dismantling and destruction of satellite dishes by Iranian security forces, is not a new phenomenon in Iranian Kurdistan. The Iranian regime has long tried to prevent Kurdish people from getting information that is not sanctioned by the regime.
