Statistics: Warvin publishes the violence statistics of February

According to the official statics of the directorate of confronting violence against women which is obtained by Warvin, the cases are as following:

Hawler:

Maximum number of murder and violence against women cases recorded, the total number is (211) cases

Murder (6) – Suicide (1) – burn (7) – Self-immolation (5) – complaint (192) – sexual assault (0)

Slemani: 

Slemani is considered as the second city with the biggest number of violence cases, the total number is (117) cases, slemani got the highest number of sexual assault cases.

Murder (1) – Suicide (1) – burn (3) – Self-immolation (0) – complaint (101) – sexual assault (11)

Duhok: 

The total number of the violence cases is (98) cases

Murder (1) – Suicide (0) – burn (5) – Self-immolation (9) – complaint (81) – sexual assault (2)

Garmian administration:

The total number of the violence cases is (27) cases

Murder (1) – Suicide (0) – burn (1) – Self-immolation (0) – complaint (24) – sexual assault (1)

Raparin administration:

The total number of the violence cases is (55) cases

Murder (0) – Suicide (0) – burn (3) – Self-immolation (1) – complaint (45) – sexual assault (6)

The total number of the violence cases in all the cities is (508) cases

Murder (9) – Suicide (2) – burn (19) – Self-immolation (15) – complaint (443) – sexual assault (20)

Compared to February 2012, the number has increased, while 384 cases were recorded in 2012, this year it has raised to 508 cases.

Last February the violence cases were as follows:

Murder (6) – Suicide (2) – burn (30) – Self-immolation (16) – torture (72) – complaint (248) – sexual assault (10)

 It is noted that the torture statistics has not been reported by the directorate this year.
