Three thousand immigrants in Sheikh Maqsoud in need of treatment.

Thousands of people residing in eastern Aleppo have recently taken refuge in Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood through a corridor opened by YPG/YPJ fighters amid heavy clashes between regime forces and gang groups.

Doctors taking care of immigrants in the neighborhood stated that hundreds of people are suffering severe diseases due to hunger, thirst and cold weather.
Heyva Sor a Kurd Healthcare Center doctor Mihemed Silêman stated that more that three thousand immigrants are facing diseases and are in need of urgent aid. Silêman said the immigrants could end up in a worsening state of health in the event of not receiving treatment soon.
Silêman reported that the major health problems suffered by immigrants are diarrhea, pneumonia and anemia.
Heyva Sor a Kurd Healthcare Center is trying to provide the treatment needed by immigrants despite a lack of opportunities. Doctor Silêman pointed out that some of the immigrants with severe diseases need to receive special medical treatment which they cannot offer with the available means.
Dr. Mihemed Silêman called on health organization to provide urgent aid for the immigrants in need of treatment.
