 Tehran – September 28, 2026; According to the news website "HRANA," Mahboubeh Shabani—a political prisoner and detainee from the protests of January 2026—was forcibly removed from the "Aramesh" Ward and transferred to solitary confinement at Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad on Monday, September 28.

Prison authorities have not yet announced the reason for this transfer.

This transfer follows a recent ruling by Branch 1 of the Mashhad Revolutionary Court, which sentenced Ms. Shabani to death on charges of "engaging in operational acts to strengthen Israel, the United States, and elements affiliated with opposition groups"; the verdict has been formally communicated to her defense attorney. The court hearing regarding the charges against this political prisoner had taken place on September 1.

Mahboubeh Shabani was arrested by security forces in Mashhad during nationwide protests on February 2, 2026, and subsequently transferred to Vakilabad Prison.

تا ئێستا هۆکاری ئەم گواستنەوەیە لەلایەن بەرپرسانی زیندانەوە ڕانەگەیەندراوە.

ئەم گواستنەوەیە لە کاتێکدا بوو کە لقی یەکەمی دادگای شۆڕشی مەشهەد لەم دواییانەدا بە تۆمەتی "کردەوەی ئۆپەراسیۆنی بۆ بەهێزکردنی ئیسرائیل و ئەمریکا و توخمەکانی سەر بە گروپە ئۆپۆزسیۆنەکان" سزای لەسێدارەدانی بەسەر خاتوو شەبانیدا سەپاند و بڕیارەکەش بە پارێزەری بەرگریکارەکەی گەیەندرا. دانیشتنی دادگا بۆ لێکۆڵینەوە لە تۆمەتەکانی ئەم زیندانییە سیاسییە، ڕۆژی ١٠ی ئەیلوولی ٢٠٢١ بەڕێوەچوو.

مەحبوبە شەعبانی لە ١٣ی ڕەشەمەی ٢٠٢١ لە کاتی ناڕەزایەتییە سەرتاسەرییەکان لە شاری مەشهەد لەلایەن هێزە ئەمنییەکانەوە دەستبەسەر و دواتر بۆ زیندانی ڤاکیل ئاباد گواسترایەوە.
