Concern for Iranian terrorist attacks in Europe after dismissed attacks in Paris

Concern for Iranian terrorist attacks in Europe after dismissed attacks in Paris
Ron grows in several European countries and the United States because the Tehran regime plans new terror attacks after the disarmed bombing in Paris against the Iranian massacre for a free and democratic Iran. It reports the Washington Post (WP) on Friday with reference to several current and former security officials.

Tehran has also intensified its intelligence activities around the world. It happens at the same time as regime-critical protests in the country push the regime's leaders, reports WP.

It has been known earlier that the Iranian regime's Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) spies and conducts terrorist attacks against dissidents and regime critics in Europe. But the bombing against a major public gathering in Paris, where hundreds of parliamentarians, former ministers and human rights lawyers from Europe, the United States and the Middle East participated, reveals that the Iranian regime is prepared to go far enough to appeal to opposition groups abroad.

Norman Roule, who retired last year as CIA's national intelligence chief for Iran, criticized the lack of a harsher European response, especially in the wake of Iran's support for terrorism on the continent. "You can get away with mostly everything", that's the message that Europe is likely to send to Tehran.

"[Iranian regime] has tested Europe and America's determination for decades. The regime has implemented cyber attacks, supports terrorist groups and planned to kill the Saudi ambassador to the United States at a luxury restaurant in Washington in 2013 ... But all these events did not get a concrete response, "added Roule, who worked for the CIA for 34 years.

"I'm afraid Iran may think they have not reached our red line and this paves the way for further attacks," Roule said to WP.

A senior German official confirmed the threat of the Iranian regime for the WP. "Iran's aggression in Europe demands a tougher response," stressed the official without revealing details.

"You see a clear level of activity with Iranian agents in recent months," said a Middle East official for WP who would be anonymous. "The Iranians are preparing for a possible conflict," added the official.

The Iranian regime's activities can also reach the United States, writes WP, and refers to the prosecution of two Iranian individuals arrested by US authorities for espionage against Iranian regime critics in the country.

"Ahmadreza Mohammadi-Doostdar, 38-year-old Iranian-American citizen, and Majid Ghorbani, 59, Iranian citizen living in California ... prosecuted for acting for the Iranian government by identifying and gathering information about US residents and US citizens who are members of the Iranian opposition group, the People's Mojahedin (PMOI) ", announced the US Department of Justice in a statement on August 20th.

But the case of the arrested Iranian diplomat [Asadollah Assadi] is more serious. It has strained Iran's diplomatic relations with Germany and France, telling officials and analysts for the WP.

Assadi was arrested in Germany in early July suspected of planning the bomb attack against the Iranians' big gathering in Paris, June 30th.

He is suspected of leaving more than 500 grams of explosives to a couple of residents in Belgium. The explosive would be used for the terrorist attack and found in the couple's car when arrested by Belgian police on their way to Paris. The arrested couple is identified as Amir Sadoni and Nassim Nomeni.

Germany left Assadi to Belgium last week where he was facing a Belgian judge responsible for the case.

Asdollah Assadi, station manager of the Iranian regime's MOIS in Vienna, has been stationed in Austria since August 2014.

The French government announced last week that it had frozen assets belonging to two Iranian citizens and the Iranian security service "because of the attack. Asdollah Assadi was one of the two Iranian citizens who got their assets frozen by the French government.
