The Iranian regime executes prisoner during the corona crisis.

The Iranian regime executes prisoner during the corona crisis.
Iranian regime executed prisoner, Mostafa Salimi, by hanging in Saqqez prison earlier on Saturday, according to reports from Iran to the rattvisanrealit

Salimi was arrested in 2003 and was imprisoned in the regime's prison for almost 17 years before being executed. He escaped with several other prisoners after a riot in Saqqez prison on March 27. This in protest of the regime's refusal to release them while the coronavirus spread to the prison. Salimi was arrested again by the regime's repressive security forces a few days later after the escape.
Amnesty International published a new report on the corona crisis in Iranian prisons on April 9, saying. The regime's "security forces must have killed around 36 prisoners in Iran after using deadly force to control" the prisoners' protests over fears for their safety while COVID-19 spreads to the country's prisons.
The FFFI condemns this execution in the strongest terms and urges the government and the Foreign Ministry to pressure the Iranian regime to release all political prisoners as a result of the spread of the corona virus to Iranian prisons.

We have learned that around 36 prisoners in #Iran are feared to have been killed by security forces after using lethal force to control protests over # COVID19 safety fears. It is abhorrent that Iran's authorities have again resorted to killing people to silence their concerns.
