 On Thursday, June 11, in a message on Twitter, Trump announced that the United States would “target Iran very heavily tonight,” emphasizing the destruction of the mullahs’ regime’s defensive and offensive capabilities and the destruction of its naval and air forces, radars, and communications.
Trump also wrote that in the not-too-distant future, the United States would take over Kharg Island and other oil infrastructure in the Islamic Republic and gain “complete control of the oil and gas markets.” He described the move as similar to Washington’s policy toward Venezuela.
