During the wake-up investigations conducted by the specialized authorities, the defendant made candid confessions about a number of crimes that Ibn committed during his service in Nakra Al-Salman prison, when he confessed to the rape of one of the prisoners of Kurdish nationality, who had the Anfal campaigns imposed, in addition to systematically starving the prisoners inside the prison, and his participation in Operation Purification carried out by the intelligence services at the time. The defendant reported that his service period was five years in total, of which he spent three years in Nakra Al-Salman prison, before being sent to retirement after a brawl that broke out as he said.
Based on these confessions, the testimonies of victims and personal rights holders, and the flow of evidence from which the investigations were concluded, the specialized court sentenced its judge to the death penalty for the accused, a just punishment for the heinous crimes against the Iraqi people.
