Police violence leaves another youth dead

A 28-year-old woman who had sustained a critical injury due to the tear gas attack of police in Viranşehir district of Urfa last week has lost her life.
The Kurdish uprising across Turkey and North Kurdistan in solidarity with the YPG/YPJ resistance against ISIS gangs in Kobanê had already witnessed the death of 42 people.
People in Viranşehir district of Urfa who also poured out into the streets in solidarity with the Kobanê resistance were brutally attacked by police with intense tear gas, like anywhere else where rallies and demonstrations took place. In Gölbaşı neighbourhood, Aynur Kudin had also sustained a critical injury after falling down the stairs of her house which was also targeted by the tear-gas canisters fired by police.
After being taken to Viranşehir State Hospital, Kadin was referred to the Balıklıgöl State Hospital in Urfa where she had been struggling to live for the last seven days after having a cerebral hemorrhage.
The young woman's body has been taken to the Forensic Medicine Institution in Urfa where an autopsy will be performed before burial in Viranşehir district.
