Júlia Moretti de Paula, 21 years old, accused of participating in a robbery in a high-end building in Ribeirão Preto (SP), in September, will remain at the disposal of the Justice system in the Tupi Paulista Penitentiary.

She presented herself to the police in Araçatuba on Monday morning (24) and on Tuesday morning (25), the report followed when she left the CPJ (Central Police Station) headquarters to be taken to the IML (Forensic Medical Institute), before undergoing a custody hearing.

This is a legal procedure, only for the Justice system to confirm the legality of the execution of the preventive arrest warrant, which was issued by the Ribeirão Preto Justice system, when accepting the complaint against her and 16 other investigated individuals. A man and a woman remain at large, according to the police.

The robbery occurred on September 24th, when at least six apartments were broken into and residents had belongings stolen, causing losses that could exceed R$ 4 million.

According to the police, each participant in the robbery allegedly received R$ 15,000 from the sale of the stolen jewelry.
