The internal power struggle between the different fractions of the regime is intensified.
An internal power struggle between the various divisions of the regime intensified this week since the regime's parliament dropped President Rouhani's Minister of Labor in a resignation vote on Wednesday.

Ali Rabiei was accused of harming the crushed economic situation in the country with high unemployment due to his inaction. 129 members voted to drop Rabiei while 111 members voted to continue as a minister of employment, according to government media.

The members have also given Rouhani a month to come to parliament and answer their questions about the falling economy and the currency rial's free fall in recent months.

The pastor's former hard-dated president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, went to social media on Thursday and demanded that Rouhani resign, reports the Voice of America.

Rouhani's Cabinet appointed a new central bank chief at the end of July to comply with the demanding faction demands that accused his government of the country's poor economy, Reuters reported on Wednesday.

Many Iranians blame the US's decision to reintroduce sanctions against Iran on the regime and its own government, reported Agence France-Presse (AFP) on Wednesday from Tehran.

"Prices rise again, but the reason is the government's corruption, not US sanctions," said Ali, a 35-year-old designer for AFP.

Like many, he sees President Hassan Rouhani as powerless to improve the situation, AFP writes.

"He can not solve the problems. It has been shown several times that he is not a decision-maker in this country. Our problem is our representatives and the system, "Ali told AFP.
