#Political_Islam is the #making of #England.
England has always supported religious extremists to exploit them for its own interests.
🔴 What is the difference between the Iranian nationalism of Cyrus, Ferdowsi, and Safavid Shiism and the nationalism of Sunni Salafi Soranism?
In many cases, the difference is in the names and symbols; but the intellectual logic of some extremist currents on both sides has significant similarities.
Some currents of Iranian nationalism and some currents of Salafi Soran nationalism, rather than defending diversity and freedom, seek to create a stereotype of a servant, slave, and obedient person.
In some extremist narratives of Iranian nationalism, it seems as if being Iranian is a mandatory checklist: you must be Persian-centered, you must be proud of Cyrus and Ferdowsi, you must accept the official narrative of Iranian history, you must have special respect for the Twelve Imams, Ali, and Hussein, and you must not cross the designated red lines. If you do not accept this stereotype, you will soon be faced with labels such as "separatist," "anti-Iranian," or "foreign agent."
In contrast, in some extreme currents of Sorani nationalism, another version of this view is also seen. Here, too, it is sometimes suggested that a true Kurd must be Sunni, must speak in a Sorani-Makrian dialect, must accept the English-styled Sunni Sorani narrative of history, must present a sacred image of Qazi Muhammad, Dr. Qasemlu, and some political parties, and must not criticize certain figures and symbols. If someone is Gorani, Hawrami, Zanganeh, Laki, Zaza, Jaff-Kalhar Shia, Yarsan Yazidi, or has a different political perspective, they are faced with labels such as "Jash", "traitor", or "mercenary".
The strange thing here is that both currents, despite the difference in flag and slogan, follow the same logical ideology: first they define an official identity, then they question anyone who does not conform to that official identity. One says a good Iranian should be like this, another says a good Kurd should be like that.
One redlines Cyrus, Ferdowsi, and the fake Iranshahri narrative, while the other calls the British-made Sunni Salafi Sorani narrative. One calls the opposition separatists, while the other calls the opposition traitors and scoundrels. One seeks uniformity under the Persian-centric banner, while the other sometimes seeks uniformity under the Sunni Salafi Sorani banner.
In such an environment, neither individuality matters, nor cultural diversity, nor the right to criticize. Everything is measured by the degree of loyalty to a particular narrative. The result is a society in which questioning is a crime, criticism is a betrayal, and being different is a sin.
These two currents are the Persian-Iranshahri and the British-made Sunni Salafi Sorani
