A young Kurdish couple named Zhila Tashkari and Dalir Salimi, from Saqez, were arrested by the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Zhila Tashkari has been transferred to Sanandaj prison, but there is no exact information about Dalir Salimi's condition yet.
According to a report received by the Human Rights Organization of Hengaw, on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, Dalir Salimi, a citizen of Saqez, was arrested by the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and four days later his wife, Zhila Tashkari, was also arrested and transferred to Sanandaj prison.
A source close to Salimi’s family told Hengaw: Intelligence forces arrested Dalir Salimi on Saveh Street two weeks ago on Tuesday, and after four days of no news about this Kurdish citizen, they raided their family home in Saqqez and confiscated all of the family’s electronic devices, including their cell phones and computers.
The source further added that on Saturday, June 21, four days after Dalir Salimi’s arrest and on the same day his home was searched, his wife, Zila Thaskori, was also summoned to the Intelligence Department and arrested.
It is worth noting that two weeks after Dalir Salimi’s arrest, he is still deprived of his basic rights, including the right to contact his family and access to a lawyer, and there is no information about his whereabouts or fate. His wife, Zila Thaskori, announced in a short phone call that he had been transferred to Sanandaj prison.
