In 2013, an #8-year-old_girl in Yemen died from internal bleeding on her wedding night. She had just been married to a man in his 40s. Her tiny body wasn’t ready. She was just a child. 🥺

This story is heartbreaking, but sadly not unique. Many girls around the world are still

forced into marriage far too young. It’s a violation of their rights-and sometimes, like here, it becomes a matter of life and death.

Child marriage isn’t culture or religion. It’s harm. And it needs to end!

We live in 2025, and one would have thought this barbarian tradition would have ended but no.. Iraq just lowered the age for marriage to 9!
