Mir Hossein Mousavi never thought that the #Islamic_regime, whose message was death to Israel and America for 46 years, was the first and last cause of Israel's attack on the mullahs' regime, and that this evil regime itself was the reason.Mir Hossein Mousavi has forgotten that the regime armed Hezbollah, Hamas, and other terrorists against Israel, which caused the Israeli government to launch a preemptive attack and destroy the regime's posture.
In a message from #Akhtar_Prison, #Mir_Hossein_Mousavi called for the release of political prisoners and a referendum to establish a Constituent Assembly. He wrote in his message:
The current structure of the system does not represent all Iranians. Holding a referendum to establish a Constituent Assembly will pave the way for the realization of the right to self-determination of the people of the plains and discourage the enemies of this land from interfering in the affairs of the country.
Mousavi's message states: During the recent crimes of Israel and America against our beloved homeland, the caliber of the Iranian people was once again tested and a point was added to the points of their historical record; and this was not only because of their solidarity against the enemy, but also because of their resistance despite deep resentment. While the nation's military sons were martyred or taken by surprise, the commendable foresight of the people thwarted the aggressors' sinister plans. Now, after those days have passed, it would be horrifying if some people, through daydreaming, consider or portray the society's reaction as an endorsement of their inefficient way of governing. Such a mistake will discourage the nation and make the outsider hopeful that perhaps next time, God forbid, he will be able to find a breach in the shield that failed him.
Mir Hossein Mousavi wrote: After what has happened, the people have expectations from the government that the enemy will be happy if they remain unanswered. In the short term, quick and symbolic measures such as the release of political prisoners and a clear change in the approaches of the national media are the least of the expectations. Moreover, the bitter situation that has befallen the country was the result of a series of major mistakes. The experience of the Twelve-Day War showed that the guarantee of the country’s salvation is respect for the right to self-determination of all citizens and that the current structure of the system does not represent all Iranians. The people want to see those mistakes revised. Holding a referendum to establish the Constituent Assembly will pave the way for the realization of the people’s right to self-determination and discourage the enemies of this land from interfering in the country’s affairs.
